Emcs - Eudaimoniacs

Eudaimonia - it's from the Greek, you know - has been described as 'flourishing by doing and being your best at what you are best at'. It also has connotations of public virtue and the influence of a muse.

This page is for those of us who try to achieve our state of eudaimonia through poetry - us Eudaimoniacs. It is specifically for those of you who are still waiting to exercise public virtue by being e-published and want to join me as a poetic 'english nu-romantic' - no mullet, make-up or frilly shirts necessary (unless you want to, of course!) Rather the influence of your muse should seek expression through the poetic combination of narrative, landscape and love, in English.

Keep the poem 30 lines or less including your title and it stands for itself - no pages of explanation. You retain copyright and poems published on the page will be marked accordingly, but you consent to the use of the poem on this site by submission.

I will edit and offer advice and guidance where I feel able and the choice of what goes on this page is idiosyncractically and finally mine.

When you've been published on here once that's your lot. But we may look at an e-published collection from time to time and maybe even a more conventional publication.

Come and have a go if you think you're romantic enough! Complete the form and paste or type in your poem, hit send and wait for a response!
