To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dartmoor as a National Park, the National Park Authority has been encouraging people to record their impressions of the area. As part of this project the Authority also invited John Powls to write a commemorative piece about Dartmoor - exploring its special qualities but also its status as a Nation Park.
